Both President Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden made special requests before their first debate.
Trump’s campaign requested that both the president and Biden undergo ear inspections by a third party for electronic devices or other transmitters that may allow for communication, according to a report from Fox News.
The president reportedly consented to the inspection, while a source told the New York Post that Biden’s campaign agreed to an inspection days ago before changing course and declining.
The Biden campaign also made a request for two breaks every 30 minutes during the debate, which lasts 90 minutes and is commercial-free. The Trump campaign reportedly denied that request. A Trump campaign official told Fox News, “Our guy doesn’t need breaks. He gives 90-minute speeches all the time.”
In August, Trump told the Washington Examiner he was calling for both himself and Biden to undergo drug tests before the debate. “I look. I watched him in the debates with all of the different people. He was close to incompetent, if not incompetent, and against Bernie, he was normal … and I say, ‘How does that happen?'” he said. full story
Looks like Biden is hidin’ an electronic transmitter in his ear to help him with answers. In fact, Biden has refused to be tested for drugs or for the possession of an earpiece before tonight’s debate.
The assumption is that the results of being tested for drugs would be worse than not being tested and that the results of being checked for an earpiece would be worse than not being checked. The assumption seems quite obvious.
